Start here — your first day
Mail does nothing until a mailbox is connected. That is the one thing to do first, and it takes about four minutes.
- 1 Connect Gmail with an app password Create the app password in Google, paste it into Add mailbox, test, save — and the inbox starts syncing.
Part 1 · Connect a mailbox
Every provider that speaks IMAP and SMTP works — Gmail and Google Workspace, Zoho, Titan, Hostinger, Yahoo, iCloud, your own domain. Gmail is shown because it is the one with a catch: it will not accept your normal password from another app, so you give it an app password instead.
Mailbox settings
Mail → Settings lists every mailbox connected to your account. Add mailbox is where a new one comes in.
Connect Gmail with an app password
Gmail stopped accepting account passwords from other mail apps, so the first minute happens in your Google account: with 2-Step Verification on, the App passwords page issues a sixteen-letter password that works only for this connection and can be revoked at any time. Back in Ragenaizer, typing the address is enough for the IMAP and SMTP servers to fill themselves in; the app password goes in the password field, Test connection proves both servers accept it, and Save starts the sync. The video ends in the inbox with the Gmail folders and messages already there.
Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com no longer allow IMAP with a password at all; they need sign-in with Microsoft, which is coming to Ragenaizer next. If your Google password changes or 2-Step Verification is switched off, Google revokes the app password — create a new one and update it in Mailbox settings.
